(More customer reviews)I wanted to review this product for those who were mainly concerned about the amount of power this amazing electric heater draws. Another reviewer stated use of this product blew fuses in his abode repetitively; I too can confirm that behaviour... and you'll soon understand why.
The unit itself is sturdy and quiet. Oscillation is smooth, and the fan (whether being used to blow heated or non-heated air) emits a "whooshing" noise rather than a whine. The fan makes an acceptable level of background noise (I was able to sleep without any problems, and found it relaxing). The unit has 3 modes of operation, controlled by a dial: fan only (no heater), fan and heater (level 1), and fan and heater (level 2). Oscillation is controlled via a separate button, as is temperature controlled via a separate dial. The amount of heat this unit can put out -- despite being adjustable -- is excellent. The power cord has a 2-prong connector.
But as previously mentioned, the power draw is downright unreasonable. The specifications claim a maximum of 1500W, but the unit absolutely will draw a lot more than that at times. Below are the readings (using a Kill-a-Watt metre, measuring amperage and wattage at 120V) and what features/adjustments were set to. This will surely shock many readers.
Fan only operation: 0.20 to 0.25 amps, 14 to 17 watts
Fan and heater (level 1): 7.4 to 8.0 amps, 750 to 830 watts
Fan and heater (level 2): 14.3 to 14.75 amps, 1450 to 1610 watts
Oscillation added approximately 0.02 amps and an additional 3 watts no matter what mode the unit was set to.
These numbers are accurate, and "double confirmed" by blowing fuses in my apartment numerous times. I even lost a generic (low-grade) power strip as a result. Readers should be aware that in most homes, a single power circuit (not outlet!) is usually 15 amps, so the chance of a fuse blowing as a result of this unit being used is quite high assuming other electronics (computers, etc.) are on the same circuit.
Furthermore, when considering the wattage drawn, think for a moment of your electric bill.
If your home has numerous dedicated 15 or 20 amp circuits, this product is definitely for you and will keep you extremely warm. If you rent an older flat like I do, expect there to be limited/shared circuits with 15 amps maximum, which means you should probably be looking for a unit that draws less power. Yes, you could run the unit at "level 1", but it's significantly warmer and more effective at "level 2".
I'm giving this product 3/5 stars given its decent build quality, silent operation, and effectiveness (I would give it 3.5 if Amazon supported half-star ratings). I'm docking stars due to the absurd power requirements given that most US abodes use 15 amp circuits, with newer homes using 20 amp.

It is easy and convenient to make large sushi row with this sushi mold. No more bamboo sushi mat is needed. It is very easy to understand and operate with the picture instruction on the back of packaging. It is fun to prepare food for your family members and friends.Brief Instructions:1. Fill the inner case with Sushi rice and press it firmly. Use rice paddle to make a shallow channel along in the middle (this channel is for filling strips later) 2. Global GS-5 5-1/2-Inch 14 cm Vegetable Knife Review

(More customer reviews)I have 10 Global knives covering a wide range. I bought each individually over the course of several years and put quite a bit of thought into each purchase to ensure that it met a need and that the Global knife was the best designed knife of its kind (usually the case which is why I own more Global knives than other kinds). Despite my broad range of choice I find myself pulling the 5.5" vegetable knife off the wall more than all others. I'm a sharpening fanatic and this knife is unbelievable - I can effortlessly dry shave hair off my arm (it will grow back). I believe it's my most frequent choice because the size is just right for almost any chopping job - vegtables, fruit, meats, breads (you don't need a bread knife if your regular knife is insanely sharp), sandwiches and even some cheeses. The fact that the knife is blunt nosed initially did not attract me to it but the broad side of the knife is usefull for picking up food or spreading and makes the knive a bit less intimidating. The knife is ultra light in weight and the triangular handle, a unique design to Global knives, fits so well in your hand that I wonder why Global is the only company to make such a handle. I personally have not experienced the slipping problem that another reviewer has. The handle has a notch just before the blade so you finger is not even close to the cutting edge - it is a very safe design. I have other knives that are "nicer" in some respects but I don't use them as much and if I had to give away all my knives but one this would be the one I would keep.

(More customer reviews)I've used this set for several years now (mine is the Insignia Matte Series) and have been very pleased with the overall cutting ability of these knives. Even though I also own Global and Shun kitchen knives, I find myself being drawn to the Insignia knives when I am in a hurry or in the middle of a large project. Although both the Global and the Shun have sharper edges, their price difference doesn't equate directly to the increased level of sharpness that you get. That is to say, yes Global and Shun knives are sharper, but they are not three to four hundred percent sharper all though their price difference certainly would suggest that.
Using my Insignia knives, I am able to quickly dice, cut, and slice through onions, carrots, chicken, roasts, etc. That said, there are several cavets that need to be stated. First, don't wash these knives in a dishwasher. It has nothing to do with the quality of the steel. I wouldn't wash my Ken Onion Shun Chef's knife in the dishwasher and that one knife costs as much as two whole sets of the Insignia. Second, these knives need to be honed regularly. A few strokes after every use makes a real difference. Third, after owning the knives for almost two years, I sharpened each of the knives on oil stones. These knives, like all knives will need to be resharpened from time to time. The good news is that they resharpened quite nicely, a tribute to their quality. Since resharpening, they have continued to hold their edges.
Last, the balance of these knives is more than adequate. I also own the matching sanduko and have found it to be the best of the series. All though I am a bit of a knife snob, and although I would love to purchase a block set of either the Shun or the Globals, I can't justify it given that the Insignia's cut so well. My wife would really give me no end of grief if I threw out a perfectly good set of knives. And a good set of knives these are.

(More customer reviews)This is a fantastic little vac. It isn't as loud as my last stick vac and it doesn't scratch my wood floors. The first day I bought it I really put it through the paces. I was impressed with how well it cleans floors, carpets and rugs with fringe. I love the fact that you can turn off the roller to do the fringed rugs and floors. It picked up popcorn and screws easily. Sand and gravel from the kids shoes, no problem. After a rain, the floor got a little muddy from all the kids going in and out so I just turned on the brush and VOILA, the dried mud went right up.
It really does stand on it's own, even on a soft cushy carpet.
The only changes left to make is to lengthen the cord a bit and put a small pull-out nozzle high up on the side so I can use it for practically everything, such as dusting windowsills. I won't let my wish list ruin the review though. 5 stars for the best little vac I've had yet.
